I hate reading series out of order (or watching TV episodes, or playing video games). So when I got the galley for Student Bodies, I knew I was going to have to read Poltergeeks first. (Am I the only one who does this? Do you ever read series out of order?) I'm glad I did, though, because both books turned out to be a lot of fun, though they get darker and darker as they go on.
I think I may have been a little hard on both books in my review -- they do have flaws but I enjoyed them a lot nonetheless. I would like to hear what other readers think. Am I being unfair in my criticisms? Letting my own writer voice (or worse, my editor voice) out when I should only be judging with my reader voice? Feel free to let me know what you think in the comments.Cover images © Strange Chemistry. Poltergeeks is available now, and Student Bodies will be out in late August or early September (I've seen two different dates).
